*Up for sale here is a scarce painted label acl coca cola western seltzer bottle from the northern California town of Susanville, Ca. It has a nice picture of an erupting volcano on the bottle. The condition of this siphon is very good to excellent as seen here, with barely any wear. The old clear glass is sparkling clean. The red acl pyro on the bottle is also very good, with some tiny non detracting pin holes, as seen here. This Lassen County siphon would date from 1937, as indicated by the embossed date code on the base. Quite early for an acl bottle.
*This example has been packed away since the early 1960's from an old seltzer man, in his old rickety two story garage in the Los Angeles area. Bottle is in the larger 36 ounce capacity size.
*It reads in the red acl within a deco frame ~ "MT. LASSEN / (erupting volcano image) / SIPHON WATER / Trade Mark Reg. Conts. 1 Quart / Susanville Coca Cola Bottling Coo. / Susanville, Calif." On the base it is embossed ~ "18 <0> 7", for the 1937 date. The base edge has seen some smooth surface wear, from use long ago. The removable spritzer top is marked ~ "Shasta Water". The glass straw will be included as well. Bottle measures 12 inches tall to the spout top, and 4 inches in diameter.
*This seltzer will proudly dress up the classic western back bar, vintage soda fountain area, as well as the perfect steam punk set up. A nice vintage piece of coke bottling history from the West.
*The metal spritzer top will be taken off for safer shipping, when promptly sent out.
