FULLY HALLMARKED STERLING SILVER DANISH ART NOUVEAU STYLE CAKE or DESSERT SERVING KNIFE SIGNED ORLA MOGENSEN.
NOTED DESIGNER ORLA VAGN MOGENSEN was a Copenhagen silversmith from 1949 to 1975. This pattern ‘Greta’ is very reminiscent of designs by Gundolph Albertus at Georg Jensen in the late 1920s and early 1930s (like his Cactus flatware) that bridged Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
