    Description

    Rare Scandinavian Modernist Royal Copenhagen Jais Nielsen A. Dragsted Sterling Silver Ring.  It features a ceramic plaque of a modernist face in relief by famous modernist artist and ceramist Jais Nielsen for Royal Copenhagen in a beautiful teal blue glaze. The silver setting is by A. Dragsted Silversmith.
    Markings
    :  The back has the 3 wavy line mark for Royal Copenhagen.   Band inside is stamped 925S and AD.
    Condition notes
    :  Good condition but the plaque does rotate a bit and the band is more oblong than round, but perhaps it was designed this way? as it does stay in place on the finger which is nice.  As it is, it fits my 6.5 size ring finger.  There are no chips, cracks or damage.  The silver has some normal use marks and a nice patina consistent with age which I did not try to polish or clean.   The ceramic portion measures approx. .75 inches in diameter.
