Description
Tulip Bottling Corp. Johnstown, PA.This example is from the early part of the 1900's and comes from the famed TULIP bottling company in Johnstown, PA. It has an impressive unique design and features raised tulip flowers in a yellow amber glass. This is one of a few embossed colored designs in seltzer bottles and is quite the conversation piece. Standing proudly at over 12 inches in height, the hardware consists of a matching inscriped pewter top. This is an uncommon seltzer that I have had on the shelf for over 25 years.
Please note the pics and details here about condition. Specifically, there are chips, nicks and ware to the shoulder edge. The base is mostly clean with some areas of ware and light chipping. The sides and panels are very clean with almost no ware. The top shoulder has the largest issue. Its a slice chip over the IL in TULIP on one side. Its a smooth loss but noting it for accuracy. Please see the photo and ask any questions. She displays wonderfully and there is no cracks to the glass. Panels and sides are the best part. Very nice. I have had this displayed for many years and always enjoyed admiring its rarity and place in history.
