This is a stunningly, beautiful berry spoon by the noted Norwegian designer Thorvald
Marthinsen. It is made of 830S silver and is 7 5/8 inches in length. This pattern is called "Oldemor" or grandmother. The patina leads me to estimate the date of this spoon to the 1930's or so. The hallmark shows
830S, the mark for Marthinsen, NM for Norsk Monsterb meaning registered
design, and 408 which is the pattern/product number. The spoon has a lovely
curved handle topped by an Art Nouveau style open cut design. The bowl is also engraved in and intricate scroll and floral
motif. The bowl measures approx. 2 1/4 by 2 inches. This is a gorgeous berry spoon and sure to elicit
compliments when used with guests. It has a lovely antique patina and it is in excellent condition with
no scuffs or scratches. Ship to US only by USPS.
