Norway TH Marthinsen 830S Commemorative Dish Bowl 1939 Interparliamentary Conf.

Description

This is a bowl or dish by the Norwegian designer Thorvald Marthinsen.  It commemorates the 35th Conference of the Interparliamentary Union which was held in Oslo, Norway on Aug. 15-19, 1939.  There is a hallmark that shows 830S and the mark for Marthinsen.   The bowl or dish is made of 830S silver and measures 4 1/2 inches in diameter and stands approx. 5/8 inches tall.  The edge has a scalloped design with 6 "indentions".  In the center of the dish is an enamel symbol in white, blue and gold.  This symbol commemorates this conference.  Please see pictures.  This is a very pretty dish and in excellent condition.  Ship to US only by USPS.  International ship by Ebay Global Shipping.
