Norway Salt Cellar 830S Viking Dragon Motif Embossed North Cape Rare Vintage

Description

This is a unique Norwegian salt cellar.  The usual salt cellars are made in the design of a viking ship.  This is rare as I have not seen this design before.  It is made of 830S silver.  There is no maker's mark.  The cellar is in a dragon motif on the outside with a dragon head on each end of the cellar.  The outside border of the cellar continues this dragon motif.  It is a footed piece with small continuous foot on the bottom.  Inside, on the bottom, there is an image of Norway's famous North Cape with the sun rising in the background.  In the foreground is a steam or coal powered sailing ship with smoke coming from its funnel.  The cellar measures approx. 3 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches.  There is one very small ding on one edge of the cellar - please see pictures.  Other than this small ding, this piece is in excellent condition.  Ship to US only by USPS.
