The set is complete, in Very Good to Near Fine condition. Volumes were not numbered, however, do have separate names that come under the title of the HAWAIIAN REVOLUTION.  They measure approximately 6 ½” x 9 ½”, a combined total of 1020 pages, no dust jackets, none issued.
The boards of each volume are red and black leatherette with titles and decorations stamped in gilt.  There is no fading however, titles, particularly those on the spines are not entirely legible, likely due to a less than firm strike during the printing process.  The volumes are clean, straight out to the points  with a bit of rubbing to the edges of the spines. Each volume has been fitted with a 5 ml. clear Archivally correct Dust Jack to help protect from rubbing in the future.
Content of each is clean and tight with the Publishers plate pasted to the fly page of each volume.  The largest volume, “Memoirs” numbering 664 pages has about 10 pages toward the front whereby the very tips of the lower free corner are turned.  This appears to be bump, rather than “dog earing.”  Modest age toning is noted with foxing primarily to the end pages, lessening to the following prelims. Also modest toning noted to the photo plates and opposite pages.  There are no previous owner names, notations, marks or tears observed.
    “Book One”
MEMOIRS OF THE HAWAIIAN REVOLUTION by Lorrin A. Thurston, 664 pages includes a PREFACE, DEDICATION, AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, TABLE OF CONTENTS, LIST OF PLATES, Lengthy APPENICES and INDEX.
[Lorrin A. Thurston, of missionary lineage was one of the major players in the insurrection and overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom, 1893.]
    “Book Two”
WRITINGS OF LORRIN A THURSON, 168 pages, includes a PREFACE, TABLE OF CONTENTS, LIST OF PLATES, a GLOSSARY and INDEX.
    “Book Three”
MEMOIRS OF THE HAWAIIAN REVOLUTION by Sanford B. Dole, 188 pages includes a PREFACE, A SKETCH OF SANFORD BALLARD DOLE TO 1887, a FORWARD, TABLE OF CONTENTS, LIST OF PLATES and an INDEX.
[Sanford Ballard Dole, also  of missionary lineage was an advocate for the modernization of the government and culture of the Hawaiian Kingdom in association with the United States and served as the first President following the overthrow.]
This set is unrivaled in its comprehensive coverage of the HAWAIIAN REVOLUTION.  Each includes a Frontispiece and a number of Illustration plates and margin notes.  It should be noted that each of the authors had involvement in the insurrection thus their memoirs are without doubt biased, yet do present a detailed account of the events that took place during that period.  Those wishing first-hand accounts may chose to consult Vernon Briggs’ accounts of THE BOSTON, HAWAII’S STORY BY HAWAII’S QUEEN by Queen Lilioukalani or the correspondences between Princess Kaiulani and her parents that are a part of PRINCESS KAIULANI THE LAST HOPE OF HAWAII'S MONARCHY by Kristin Zambucka.
