LARGE VINTAGE HANDMADE JAPANESE PAPER SHEET - 2' X 3' Traditional Echizen Washi

Description

This is for one 2 x 3 foot sheet of Echizen hand made washi paper. It's a light creme soft yellow color and has what look like small blades of grass imbedded in the paper. This is strong washi paper in fantastic condition.
The city of Echizen in Japan is famous for it's hand made paper with 67 different paper mills, each making it's own style / brand of paper.  This bundle of paper was in storage at a business for a long time. Eventually they went out of business and the storage was cleared out. The items there ended up at an antiques auction in Kyoto where we bought it.
The last photo shows the remains of the paper used to wrap this roll of 2 x 3 foot sheets.
