    Description

    Wonderful example of seltzer industry which thrived in south Brooklyn at the turn of the last century.  Highly embossed heavy clear bottle from Jacobs Bottling Works.  Inscribed "QUALITY BEVERAGES", "REGISTERED" and "CONTENTS 1 PT&11 FL OZ".  There is some minor wear at brim and bottom.  There is a thin crack at the bottom which is hard to see and I don't know if it would leak if the bottle was filled.  I don't think so but it is there although the bottle is in no danger of falling apart.  This is a part of Brooklyn history and could be meaningful to the descendants of Jacobs family.
