Description

This is a huge book of portraits and biographies of men and women of "Western Oregon" in 1904.  In some cases there are separate portraits of a man and his wife.  There are kind of folksy biographies about the life and personality of those included including birthdates, marriages, children, military service and business experience.  It opens to the title page with several pages following and a preface that is bound upside down.  The portraits and biographies begin on page 20.  There are about 6 pages missing, I think, if they began counting with the first flyleaf.  The portraits and bios are not in alphabetical order and there is a complete index at the back.  It is 11 and 1/2" by 9" and 3 & 1/2" thick.  It is very heavy.  The cover has some wear but is overall in very nice condition.  Inside, except for what may be some missing pages at the front it is in very nice condition with a couple of slight marks in the index but nothing that harms the book.
