This is a 6 volume set of the genuine works of Flavius Josephus. Translated by William Whiston. Published in New York by William Borradaile located at 114 Fulton Street, New York. Five of the 6 books have engraving plates. One is not present. Otherwise the volumes are all complete. The leather-bound books are gold embossed with some minor worm holes. It is high quality rag paper. This collection is a wonderful collectible antiquarian edition. They measure 6 1/4" high, 4 " wide and 1 1/4" deep. The bindings are not steady. They should be rebound. The covers on all volumes are split. Volume 5 is missing the back cover. Original owner signed in 1857. His name is William Dunbar from Norfolk, Virginia. The volumes are complete and have pages that are stained.  Guaranteed authentic and reasonably priced.
