. The 925S sterling silver has a gold washed finish; the enamel is in perfect condition. Although “used”, this belonged to my godmother who rarely used it; hairline scratches are from years of being being moved about the sideboard drawer. Length 5-1/8” / 13mm
David Andersen - Oslo
The company was founded by David Andersen in 1876. On Andersen’s death in 1901, his son, Arthur, managed the firm, changing the name in 1942 to David-Anderson. As its chief designer, Arthur introduced the use of enameling in the company’s gold and silver jewelry and holloware. The new line was so successful that enameled jewelry has become nearly synonymous with the David-Anderson name. The firm remains a family business, and is now run by members in the fourth generation.
