    Description

Awaiting your purchase is a beautiful 19th-century Danish 830S silver sugar sifter assayed in
    1871
and bearing the mark of assay master
    Simon Groth, 1863–1904.
It also bears a maker's mark
    AH
in a rectangle (both to the stem and the back of the bowl), a mark that appears to be too early for the silversmiths
    A. Halberstadt
    of
    Copenhagen, 1893–1981.
This delightful and attractive item has a perforated bowl, a twist stem and a finial that features two faces, one to the front and one to the reverse. It remains in
    excellent antique condition
    and bears
    no monograms
. And if you don't need to sift sugar, you could use it for draining olives or anything sitting in a liquid.
