Today we're offering an interesting advertising "bottle" for lack of a better description, made in Czechoslovakia (marked on the bottom), circa 1930's. It was made for the "Crescent Bottling Co." in San Jose, California as is etched on the front. It also has their address of 217 Locust St. etched on the front. We really have no idea what this was made for. It is much too large and heavy to be drinking glass. It is made exactly the same as the seltzer bottles but has been shortened and has a smooth beveled rim.
It stands 8" tall and is 4.25" across the bottom. The mouth is 3" in diameter. The glass is very thick and ridged or paneled.
The condition is quite good though there are several rim chips that have been smoothed out and a couple of little nips or scrapes on one of the ridges.
