Estate sale find, vintage copy of Register of the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of California, Fifteenth Year - 1910.  The appendix contains the 1908 dinner presented to the naval officers of the Great White Fleet in San Diego.  Includes several biographies and genealogical information on members.
The purposes for which the Society of Colonial Wars in the State of California is formed are Social and Patriotic, and to perpetuate the memory of those events and of the men who, in military, naval and civil position of high trust and responsibility, by their acts or counsel, assisted in the establishment, defense and preservation of the American Colonies, and were the founders of this Nation.
The Society of Colonial Wars in the State of California is a hereditary society founded in 1895 for the purpose of furthering interest in, and study of, the colonial period in American history. With more than one hundred members in California, the state society is part of the larger General Society of Colonial Wars which was founded in 1893 and is headquartered in New York City.
