    Description

This is an attractive copy of the book
Brown-Lipe Chapin Divison General Motors Corporation Goes to War
which was published in 1944 to describe the division's shift from producing car parts for GM (headlamps, tail lamps, hub caps, and bumper guards for Chevrolet, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, and Buick) to manufacturing machine guns (specifically the Browning .30 calibre M2 for aircraft).
Filled with photos, and diagrams, it shows the whole process and their accomplishments, including building a new hospital facility on site. The book also includes:
Enameled "E" for Excellence in Homefront Production pin
A fold-out organization chart of the division (has about a 3-4" tear where it was unfolded carelessly at some point
Employee lists and photos of the groups for each shift
An Honor Roll of employees who served during the war
    A list of tool suppliers
    A list of subcontractors
It's in great shape. The inside is marked only by a small stamp on the last page: "Plant Manager May 5 1944 A.L.H.". Pages after the page where the pin is mounted have a small dent from the screwback. The covers are in good shape, with a few small marks and slight wear to the edges (please see the pictures).
