SIGNED, INSCRIBED and DATED, along with a DRAWING, on the half title page. The drawing is of a large tube of paint encompassing the printed name "ARMAN" that is squeezing out what is actually his signature. Very Clever. The inscription reads "for the Chicago Council on fine arts June 11, 1981".

ILLUSTRATED with 178 illustrations including 48 tipped in colored plates and a tipped in color frontispiece.
Condition: VERY GOOD book, covers are sharp cornered, bright and solid; internally, the first two leaves have the imprint of a large paper clip at their top edge, and the half title page has the light rust imprint of a smaller paper clip at its top edge that affects part of the drawing on that page (please see photos); the pages are lightly toned at the edges, otherwise the inner pages are tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked, and the SIGNATURE, INSCRIPTION and DRAWING of ARMAN is bold and bright. In a VERY GOOD dustjacket that has a 5 inch thin indent line to the rear cover (as if from a closed pen) and some light general signs of handling but is overall bright and solid. A lovely, very presentable copy.
SCARCE and WONDERFUL with ARMAN'S SIGNATURE as part of a clever DRAWING, and the nice, dated PRESENTATION INSCRIPTION to the Chicago Council on Fine Arts.
