Description
ARKANSAS PIONEERSand
ALLIED FAMILIES
(Stated as Vol 1; Volume 2 has not been issued)
by
Mrs Larry P Clark of Little Rock, Arkansas
(a past president of the Pulaski County Arkansas Pioneers Association)
Book was compiled from detailed family histories submitted by members of the Arkansas Pioneer Association -
submittals came from County chapters of the association from around the state (not just the Pulaski County chapter )
Many of these family histories are highly detailed; care was taken to research histories very well.
Many stories are included within the histories and contain information you will not find elsewhere.
Book was prepared after the death of a long time member of this group (Frances Massey Bowles,
a/k/a Mrs Thomas H Bowles) More than genealogy is included in histories; yet it is a great
genealogical reference, in addition to a reference for Arkansas history.
Obviously not all pioneer families are included. There is a detailed index in back of book (with names)
which help for easy use of the book.
Book measures right at 8-3/4" X 11-1/4" 531 pages
