ABOUT THE PUBLICATION
Illustrierter Beobachter
(Illustrated Observer) was a weekly tabloid newspaper published by Verlag Franz Eher Nachf. GmbH., Munich. It was published from 1926 to 1945 and edited by Hermann Esser. The main newspaper of the NSDAP (German Nazi Party) was the
Völkischer Beobachter
which was a daily paper. It featured more text than photos, whereas the
Illustrierter Beobachter
presented more photos than text.
This hardbound compilation of issues of this newspaper have been carefully bound and the edges of the paper neatly trimmed. The binding appears to have been done during the time period. Perhaps it was part of an archive or a library. There are no library markings or indications of origin.

ITEM CONDITION
VERY GOOD. These newspapers are in excellent overall condition. Some issues have yellowing and about 8 pages have tape repairs. Hard to believe these papers have survived in this wonderful condition. The cloth binding appears to date from the time period. The paper label on the spine is sun tanned. There are no markings in the binding to indicate origin. The front cover is very good, however the back cover has some wear spots. Also some small wear spots on the spine.
There is no reserve on this item, only a fair starting bid.
We pack well and ship promptly. Securely shipped in a rigid cardboard mailer or box.
