is harder than Nickel so always use Steel hanger bolts when making beer tap handle displays, Nickel plated is a softer alloy which can cause problems during installation, cross threading is the most common which damages the threads on the hanger bolt when installing it on the ferrule. Don’t waste your money on Nickel plated hanger bolts, they should never be used when making beer tap handle displays, always use a

these are lightly oiled from the factory and will not rust also making it an easier installation.

These Hanger Bolts are not rare and not hard to find, these are brand new and measure 3/8"-16 x 1.5" fully threaded, these are the industry standard for installing them on a beer tap handle display
These are very simple to install, 1st, drill a 3/8” hole in whatever your using for the display, the hanger bolt screws in very easily. You can drill a 5/16” hole but the hanger bolt screws in much harder, it’s RECOMMENDED that you drill a 3/8”hole for easy installation. I would make sure the piece your using is at least 1.25” thick so the hanger bolt doesn't go through it, 2nd, screw hanger bolt into the piece you just drilled leaving the hanger bolt sticking up 3/8”-1/2”,3rd, install new or used tap handle.
Some tap handles have the insert already in the bottom of the tap handles ready to thread on the hanger bolt, others have a ferrule on the bottom of the tap handle also ready to screw on the display you just made or ready to install on your faucet lever on your kegerator. These hanger bolts do not rust as they don’t get wet during installation. These are a blast to make, especially if you are a collector of Beer Tap Handles, great for our man caves
