    Description

    This is the 1882 first edition of the American Clydesdale Stud Book published by the American Clydesdale Association of Springfield, Illinois.   This is Volume One issued in 1882 and I believe the first stud book published by The American Clydesdale Association.    This book is 620 pages plus the end papers in the original green cloth hardcover binding.   This book is fully complete.  The hinges are cracked and the covers are rather well worn around the edges and the binding is rather shaken.  The original owner’s name is written on the front end paper.    I believe this Volume One is the first stud book issued by the American Clydesdale Association which has been publishing an annual stud book since and continues even today.   Email any questions.  Thanks for looking.
